Six-part Series

Episode 1: "On top of the World"

Teen surfing prodigy and marine biology whiz, Tracy Clifford, wins a scholarship to a prestigious university in California. Before leaving Australia, she competes in the Bells Beach International Surfing Competition. Amid the camaraderie of international surfers, she forms a bond with a charming yet naive American named Errol. Tracy's surfing skills earn her the nickname "Cyclone Tracy," but tensions rise as she tries to balance her scientific ambitions with a desire to fit in. Musical numbers express her optimism in "On Top of the World" and her insecurities in "All That I Am." The episode concludes with Tracy winning the competition and preparing to leave her home for an uncertain future.

 

Episode 2: "This Will Be Our Home"

Tracy arrives in California, where she faces cultural clashes and the challenges of fitting in, leading to both comedic and emotional moments, particularly in a scene titled "Speaking Australian." At a local surfing competition, Tracy discovers that women are excluded from major events. A beachside encounter with Errol rekindles their connection, but tensions arise when Tracy's feminist ideals conflict with Errol's naivety. Meanwhile, her groundbreaking app, Chat 2DC, unexpectedly attracts marine life, resulting in a magical and surreal sequence titled "Groovy." As Tracy's determination to challenge the status quo intensifies, she confronts new adversaries in the male-dominated surfing world.

Episode 3: "Cyclone Tracy"

As Tracy prepares for the Malibu Open, she faces growing resistance from the surfing community. Errol’s father, a race organizer, asserts that women cannot compete with men, prompting Tracy to devise a daring plan. Flashbacks to Tracy’s time in Hawaii with Moama reveal her struggles with self-doubt, highlighted in the segment titled "Island Girls," as well as her groundbreaking work in marine biology. A lively beach party scene adds humor and tension, showcasing how Tracy earns the admiration of her peers while plotting her rebellion. The episode concludes with Tracy deciding to disguise herself as Errol in order to enter the competition, a twist she refers to as "The Switcheroo."

 

Episode 4: "Ride Here, Right Now"

In the high-stakes Malibu Open, Tracy, disguised as Errol, competes against the world’s best male surfers. Using the Chat 2DC app and her connection with marine life, she performs breathtaking stunts, showcased in the segment "Ride Here, Right Now." As the competition intensifies, Tracy's true identity is nearly revealed. Although she ultimately wins, her victory is bittersweet when she is disqualified due to the revelation of her deception, resulting in a media frenzy.

Seizing the opportunity, Tracy addresses the pressing issues of climate change and ocean conservation, making an emotional appeal with the support of dolphins in a segment titled "Save You." The episode concludes with Tracy's triumphant yet controversial rise as a feminist icon.

Episode 5: "What Are We Waiting For?"

Tracy faces backlash from the surfing community and personal challenges, including guilt over leaving Moama, who is struggling with an overdose. Errol steps up to support Tracy, displaying unexpected maturity ("By Chance"). Tracy wrestles with her newfound fame, her scientific ambitions, and her feelings for Errol. She returns to Hawaii to reconcile with Moama, discovering strength in their sisterhood ("The Better Me"). The episode highlights Tracy’s internal growth and sets the stage for her ultimate mission: uniting people and marine life to save the planet.

Episode 6: "Waves of Change"

In the climactic finale, Tracy launches a global initiative for marine conservation using her platform. Her A.I. app evolves to allow humans to communicate directly with marine life, leading to the initiative titled "What Are We Waiting For?" At the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane, Tracy competes in a historic mixed-gender surfing event, solidifying her legacy as both an athlete and an activist. The series concludes with a hopeful epilogue: Tracy and Errol return to Australia, where Tracy leads groundbreaking research in marine biology, paving the way for a more harmonious future between humans and the natural world.
