The Love is Love Boat is the prequel to the musical Cruising Broadway by the Yuri Worontschak.

The musical takes place a few years before bad times had hit both Broadway and the Cruise Line business. To assist continuity the synopsis for Cruising Broadway follows this treatment.  Specifically all the main characters from Cruising Broadway are shared and this musical offers a chance to tell their backstories.

The two plays are designed to compliment each other but are self contained. The work blends the glamour of old Broadway with the playful charm of a luxury Caribbean cruise. The story follows Max Titus, a canny entertainment producer known for running his company, Cruising Broadway dot com, on the tightest of budgets. Max’s business specializes in giving out-of-work Broadway "stars" a stage, and when he’s hired to provide the entertainment aboard the prestigious cruise liner, Queen of the Seas, he sees it as a golden opportunity to put on a dazzling show as well as pay off some of his gambling debts at the Casino.

As the cruise gets underway, Max meets the ship’s dashing new Captain, a younger man with striking good looks who immediately catches the attention of many passengers of both genders. Despite a few rocky (and hilarious) encounters, Max and the Captain slowly develop a connection, eventually leading to an unexpected romance that becomes one of the show’s central storylines. As the ship sails through the Caribbean, the characters experience romance, laughter, and even a few dramatic moments when a sudden storm threatens the journey.

Through it all, the unlikely mix of entertainers, crew, and passengers must come together, leading to unexpected friendships and love stories.Without knowing it the cast narrowly escape being lost in the Bermuda Triangle this time thus setting up the narrative to the sequel. They do get a chance to experience the Triangle's surprising charm and a few surreal visits from the Crew of the Mary Celeste. The Love is Love Boat is a heartwarming and hilarious journey that proves love, laughter, and showbiz magic can thrive even on a budget, leaving the audience humming along with joy as they sail away from the theatre.
